While you don’t need to be a school finance expert to participate in Get It Done!, we know there are some folks out there who like to feel well-informed before taking on any advocacy. Here are some suggestions for places to start:
Advocacy Tiers
It’s going to take all of us to demand and deliver fully, fairly funded public schools across the state. Our goal with the Get It Done! campaign is to offer a variety of resources for participants with various levels of knowledge and experience. We also built a tiered structure for engagement to allow folks to join however they can and encourage increased participation over time. Whatever your background and capacity, there’s a place in this fight for you.
Each action you take as part of the Get It Done! campaign – completing an online action, attending a monthly Advocates Network meeting, making a donation, etc. – will earn you more points. Accruing more points comes with fun benefits and opportunities for recognition. When you gain enough points to reach the Action Ambassador level, you will be invited to take on a leadership role within Get It Done! We will guide you through this process – be sure to check your email, including your promotions or spam inbox, for next steps from us.

LEARN ABOUT THE ACCOUNTABILITY PROCESS FOR IMPLEMENTATION
Every student should have an honest, inclusive, comprehensive education.
There have been revisions made to the Social Studies standards that Great Ed is monitoring the implementation across the state
Great Education Colorado supports the triennial process for standards and believes all standards should be inclusive, transparent, and comprehensive for all students.
Click here to read the Social Studies Revisions. In November, the State Board of Education DECIDED to accept the original social studies standards or the new revisions.
