About

Great Education Colorado

Great Education Colorado (“Great Ed” or GEC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing educational excellence and equity through grassroots activism. Founded by five passionate pre-K moms, GEC was born out of frustration over the state legislature’s failure to understand the importance of education funding.

GEC empowers communities across Colorado to advocate for policies that ensure equitable and adequate public school funding. As the anchor organization for the Public School Strong Colorado initiative, GEC leads coalitions, supports youth engagement, and provides a trusted, data-driven voice in the fight for fully funded schools.

The Get It Done Advocates Team is the driving force behind Great Ed’s mission, equipping supporters with the tools and knowledge to take impactful action. It empowers members at every level to listen, learn, and lead in their efforts to champion fully funded and equitable public schools in Colorado. Through community engagement and collaboration, the Get It Done Team amplifies individual voices into collective power, making real change possible.
