Great Ed endorses Great Schools, Thriving Communities ballot initiative

The Wait is Over…We Need Your Support!

Our public schools are the pillars of thriving communities throughout Colorado. To keep it that way, we must give every student access to the effective opportunities and supports they need for success in college, career and life, such as inspiring teachers, rigorous and broad curriculum, individual attention, quality career and technical options, and appropriate mental and physical health resources.

That’s why Great Ed has endorsed the Great Schools, Thriving Communities ballot initiative, which will raise revenue to provide additional resources for schools. The initiative will distribute resources fairly throughout Colorado to allow every community – from corner-to-corner of this exceptional state – to benefit from Colorado’s economic prosperity. And, most importantly, it will ensure that decisions about how to spend those new dollars are made where they should be: at the local level.

We now need your support!

Please let me know who was carrying the petition at Trail Ridge Middle School in Longmont at Tuesday’s Democratic caucus. I need to get in touch with him/her. I was misled as to the content of the petition. It was said that it was simply an income tax on persons making more than $150k I now find out it does away with the Gallagher Amendment. I wish to take my name off of the petition.
