December 23, 2008 Filed Under: VideosBringing some humor to the serious issue of school resources, “Granny”, played by Denver actress Amie MacKenzie, made her appearance on the Great Education Action website, the GEC blog, and in our newsletters. In the videos, Granny learned about the dismal state of school funding in Colorado from conversations with her grandson. From old textbooks, to ancient technology, to fundraising hell, the Granny files highlighted resource issues identified in the 2008 Quality Counts report. (Now those statistics are a year old and the more recent stats are even worse).
